Many of my friends, associates, relatives and others know that I’m an avid reader and sometimes ask me “Ron, what are you now reading or have recently read?” For now the answer is “Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett. Before that book it was “Sapiens, A Brief History of Mankind” by Yuval Noah Harari.

I read everything by Cormac McCarthy as soon as it is released. I really enjoyed “The History of Country Music” by Dayton Duncan and Ken Burns.

I sometimes return to my library and read books for the second or third time and they have included “Undaunted Courage” by Stephen E. Ambrose, “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” by William L. Shirer, “The Greatest Generation” by Tom Brokaw, “Citizen Hughes” by Michael Drosnin and “Team of Rivals” by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

I also read the “Atlanta Journal – Constitution” newspaper every day, “Time” magazine since early 1950’s, and “Sports Illustrated” since the first issue in the mid-1950s. Each day I read scripture from the “Holy Bible” and the short “Our Daily Bread”.
