On April 5 this year the U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams issued his first public health advisory in 13 long years calling on Americans to carry and learn to use Naloxone, the Opioid overdose antidote. The drug has saved thousands of lives when used by emergency responders and police officers.

Here is what I consider to be an important exercise for you. What are your personal values? What could be more important than establishing, knowing and practicing your values? In my opinion you should limit them to three or four, type and place them on your bathroom mirror where you will see them twice daily. In addition type and place them on the dashboard of your vehicle. With this exercise if you are now not living your life with established and documented values you will soon start doing so.
If you are an owner, general manager or other leader in your organization your values will often eventually become your company’s values.
It would greatly please me if you would send your established values to me at ronlsmith2@bellsouth.net. For your information and as an example my values are: Always tell the truth, always practice complete integrity and respect others. I live my life with those values.
In my Ron’s Quarterly Blog for the First Quarter, 2018 I encouraged my subscribers to spend some time reading as it is a great way to learn. One of the books I said I would soon read is “Stand With Israel, Friends of Zion” by Mike Evans. Although I’m well into the book and haven’t yet completed it I can highly recommend it. In the meantime I purchased and read James Comey’s book “A Higher Loyalty”. This book was very informative and I enjoyed it.
Many of my Quarterly Blog subscribers are heating and air conditioning contractor companies’ owners and leaders. An excellent way of keeping up with your dynamic industry is with the three following magazines: HVACR Business, Contracting Business, and Air Conditioning/Heating/Refrigeration News. The first two magazines are free monthly journals and the third is a paid subscriber weekly journal.
If you did not receive either or both of my two previous 2018 Quarterly Blogs just email me at ronlsmith2@bellsouth.net and I’ll send them to you.   Thanks, Ron
